The Nokia 5230 launched in India yesterday, at a Concert event at the Garuda Mall, Bangalore.

The concert consisted of the well-known Indian Band “Swarathma” playing a couple of their signature tracks to entertain the crowd who were all ready to see the debut of the Nokia 5230.

As you can see the event was quite fun !

Halfway through the concert, the Nokia 5230 was launched, and members of the crowd got to view the new Nokia 5230 live in the flesh, so to speak.

The Nokia 5230 is a very capable budget touch device launched and available in stores across India today.

The device is a Symbian S60 5th Edition device with a resistive touch screen and tactile feedback. It has a 3.2“, bright nHD (640 x 360 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio) display with homescreen featuring Contacts Bar and media bar.

Input methods include full screen QWERTY, alphanumeric keypad and handwrite recognition. Other features include a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, flash Lite 3.0 and MIDP Java 2.1 APIs.

Brandishing a 3.2-inch widescreen touch display with full-screen QWERTY keyboard and handwriting recognition, the Nokia 5230 is geared up to enable you to rattle out messages at speed. Paired with speedy HSDPA connectivity, this means staying in the loop and keeping your Facebook and Twitter streams promises to be a no-wait affair. Music is its first love though, with the 5230 bringing 33 hours of playback time, a 3.5mm headphone jack and memory expandable up to 16GB via a microSD card.
